Vinicius Junior, a Real Madrid star, is set to extend his stay at the club with a contract renewal that includes a 30% salary increase over Kylian Mbappe’s reported deal.

Despite persistent interest from Saudi Arabia, where clubs were willing to pay a staggering €300-400 million transfer fee and a €1 billion contract, Vinicius is still committed to Madrid.

According to reports, his representatives met with Saudi officials several times, but the Brazilian has consistently expressed his desire to remain at the Bernabéu.

Real Madrid first contacted Vinicius in February to determine his contract demands.

The forward has asked for a €20 million annual salary, up from his current €15 million, which matches Mbappe’s earnings.

While both parties are open to reaching an agreement, Madrid’s management is concerned about the potential impact on their wage structure, particularly for Jude Bellingham.

Vinicius’ camp believes that Mbappe’s €40 million signing bonus effectively makes him the club’s highest paid player.

Negotiations are set to resume in the summer, with Real Madrid hoping to keep one of their most influential players while also maintaining financial stability.
