The cold open of Saturday Night Live (SNL) featured a comedic reunion between former presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump, with James Austin Johnson and Dana Carvey impersonating them.

Johnson’s Trump mocked the White House, calling it “boring” and “old,” while Carvey’s Biden reflected on his own time there, humorously lamenting his departure.

The sketch also included Alec Baldwin as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who Trump appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Sarah Sherman impersonating Rep. Matt Gaetz, who resigned to become Trump’s Attorney General.

The satire poked fun at Trump’s Cabinet picks, with Johnson’s Trump describing them as “epic” and filled with controversial figures like Elon Musk, Gaetz, and Kristi Noem.

Carvey’s Biden humorously critiqued Trump’s unconventional choices.

SNL faced criticism earlier for hosting Vice President Kamala Harris before the election, while Trump was given separate airtime on NBC to make up for it.
