Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr’s forward, has slammed his lookalike, Gokmen Akdogan, claiming that the Turkish social media personality does not resemble him.
The Portuguese were seen making fun of the social media personality ahead of Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League match against Al-Shabab on Friday at Al-Awwal Park.
While warming up for the game, the former Manchester United player noticed a fan who resembled him in the stands.
Akdogan was previously well-known for his resemblance to the Portuguese superstar.
He has moved to Saudi Arabia and produces content ranging from comedy to football.
Akdogan has a large social media following and is frequently seen roaming the streets of Riyadh, catching unaware fans off guard.
He was in the stands at Al-Nassr’s game this week and piqued Cristiano Ronaldo’s interest.
A funny exchange ensued, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner teasing Akdogan and calling him ‘ugly.’
“Bro, you do not look like me. You do not look like me. “You’re very ugly,” Ronaldo stated (via journalist Khalid Alolyan’s X handle).
Akdogan handled the situation with aplomb, smiling throughout the exchange and repeatedly calling the Portuguese ‘the best.’
He said, “You’re the best. You are the best, bro. “You are the best!”
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his team’s second goal, the game turned out to be a frustrating affair for Al-Nassr, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
