Melissa McBride, known for her role as Carol in The Walking Dead described the disappearance of her best friend as the worst event for her character since the death of her daughter Sophia.
McBride, who played Carol for 11 seasons and returns in Season 2 of the spin-off Daryl Dixon noted that Carol is on a new mission and is exploring different aspects of her character.
In the new season, she learns that Daryl has been kidnapped and travels to France to find him, pretending to look for her daughter.
McBride expressed her ongoing fascination with the character and the evolving storylines, stating that she continues to enjoy working with Norman Reedus and finds the material fresh and engaging.
