The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa the winner of the 2024 Ondo governorship election.
The results were announced on Sunday at the INEC headquarters in Akure. Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate, won with 366,781 votes.
His closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), received 117,845 votes.

The agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Idanre Local Government said there was no election in Ofosun Oniseri Ward as the PDP agents were chased away.
He also alleged a case of ballot snatching at Alade. He said votes from the ward should be expunged.
