Jack Jones, the Grammy-winning singer best known for performing the iconic theme song for The Love Boat TV show, has passed away at the age of 86. Jones died after a two-year battle with leukemia on Wednesday in Rancho Mirage, California, as confirmed by his manager, Milt Suchin.
Jones started his singing career in the 1950s and gained fame in the 1960s with two Grammy Awards for best vocal performance.
He won for the songs “Lollipops And Roses” and “Wives and Lovers,” establishing himself as a prominent crooner of that era. Over the years, he continued to be recognized with Grammy nominations, including for his 1999 tribute album to Tony Bennett.
