Billie-Eilish-and-Donald-Trump

Billie Eilish used her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour show in Nashville on Wednesday to speak out against the political climate after Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential election win.

Earlier that day, she had posted on Instagram, “It’s a war on women.”

During the concert, she addressed the crowd, reflecting on the emotional weight of performing on such a significant day.

Eilish emphasized her connection to the audience, offering reassurance and a sense of safety.

She introduced her song “Your Power,” speaking about the abuse women face, including her own experiences.

Eilish highlighted the personal nature of the song, which deals with the exploitation and violation of women, and connected it to the election of a man she described as a “convicted predator” who “hates women.”

She performed the song with raw emotion, singing about the abuse of power and injustice.

Eilish also deviated from her set list, covering The Beatles’ “Yesterday,” which she felt was fitting for the moment.

Throughout, she expressed unwavering support for women, calling them “strong” and “powerful,” and dedicated the performance to them.
