Christina Haack has opened up about her difficult experience working with her estranged husband, Josh Hall, on the upcoming HGTV show The Flip Off.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Haack described feeling “dampened” by Hall’s insecurity and jealousy, particularly regarding her dynamic with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa.
She shared that she felt the need to downplay her success to avoid making him feel emasculated, which made filming unpleasant.
Haack and Hall, who married in October 2021, filed for divorce in July 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.
The Flip Off proceeded without Hall, and Haack admitted it would have been difficult to continue filming with him. El Moussa’s wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, also expressed relief at his departure.
Hall, in an Instagram post, addressed the divorce, stating it was not his choice and emphasizing his preference for privacy.
He vowed not to publicly criticize anyone involved.
Since the split, Haack has focused on regaining her peace, sharing that she’s getting back to exercising, spending quality time with friends, and feeling a deep sense of gratitude.
She also humorously addressed potential suitors on Instagram, joking that she would not be marrying a fourth husband.
The Flip Off is set to air on HGTV in January 2024.
