Jason “Sundance” Head, former The Voice contestant, is recovering after a hunting accident in Texas.
Head, 46, accidentally shot himself in the abdomen while reaching for his rifle, which discharged when it hit the Jeep’s exterior.
Despite the injury, he was able to seek help, eventually flagging down a passing car after his phone was damaged.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler, where he received treatment.
His wife, Misty, shared an update on Facebook, stating that there was no internal damage from the bullet, and Sundance was in good spirits.
She expressed gratitude for the Good Samaritan who helped and the quick medical response.
