Ukraine-officials-say-forces-struck-Russian-chemical-plant-overnight

Ukraine launched a series of drone strikes late Friday into early Saturday, targeting the Aleksinsky chemical plant in Tula, Russia, which produces ammunition and gunpowder for the Russian military.

At least 13 Ukrainian drones struck the facility, causing orange smoke and triggering alarms.

The strikes were part of a broader aerial offensive, targeting key Russian military infrastructure, including weapons depots, airfields, and other facilities involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The Tula chemical plant, located 120 miles south of Moscow, experienced explosions around 3 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. the following day, likely caused by chemicals catching fire.

While Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed to have downed all 50 drones that were launched across seven regions, Ukrainian officials confirmed the attacks on Russian military assets.

This drone assault follows previous Ukrainian strikes on munitions facilities in Russia in October.
