Simon Kinberg, the writer and producer behind several X-Men films, is set to develop a new Star Wars trilogy.
It is unclear whether these films will continue The Skywalker Saga or explore new stories.
Kinberg will write and produce the trilogy, working alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
Kinberg, who also helped bring Star Wars Rebels to the screen, is currently producing a Running Man remake.
Additionally, The Mandalorian & Grogu film is slated for release in 2026, with other Star Wars films planned for 2026 and 2027.
