A Nigerian woman has shared a heartwarming testimony about welcoming a child after taking part in Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge, an online praise and prayer session that has inspired many believers.
In a viral TikTok video shared by @jumoke_fadele, the woman and her husband participated in a program segment where they were encouraged to “dress or act like their miracle.”
They used a cloth to represent carrying a baby, trusting in faith for their blessing.
Surprisingly, she discovered she was already pregnant during the prayer session in February 2024, only finding out the following month.
She named her child “Tobechukwu,” after Nathaniel Bassey’s song that means “Praise God” or “God has done it” in Igbo.
Despite not being of Igbo descent, she felt the name accurately captured her testimony. She cited the song’s lyrics:
“Although we are not Igbos, we named him Tobechukwu. As Pastor Nath sings, “Even before I prayed, Jehovah Nissi answered me, Tobechukwu, and he has done it for me.”
