Wunmi, Mohbad’s widow, has once again spoken out about her late husband’s struggles as a result of the alleged actions of Marlian Record boss Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry.
It is worth noting that Mohbad, real name Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died in September 2023 in controversial circumstances. His unexpected death sparked a nationwide outcry, with fans and activists demanding an extensive investigation.
During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Wunmi expressed deep concern about Mohbad’s troubled past and its impact on their son, Liam.
She stated, “Naira Marley and Sam Larry cannot deny that they made my husband’s life unbearable. The online videos cannot be removed, and Liam will grow up to see them. I hope he does not grow up to be traumatized by witnessing his father’s beating. It breaks my heart, but at this point, I am fighting for my own and my son’s lives.”
She also revealed that Mohbad’s father supported Naira Marley and Sam Larry, which she believes has hampered the pursuit of true justice.
“Mohbad’s father has taken Naira Marley’s side. He is advocating for them and attempting to save them. Up to this point, Mohbad has not received justice, and the justice Mohbad’s father seeks differs from the justice sought by the general public,” she added.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings and public pressure, Wunmi believes real justice has yet to be served.
