Canadian superstar Drake makes history with his new album.
Drake, a Canadian megastar, has set a new record for male artists with the most number one hits on the Billboard digital song sales chart.

The hitmaker made history with the hit single ‘Nokia’ from his new collaborative album with PartyNextDoor. The song became Drake’s 14th number-one single, breaking his previous record of 13 hits shared with fellow Canadian megastar Justin Bieber.

Drake has been on a record-breaking streak since the release of his most recent album. The album became his 14th No. 1 album as a soloist, tying Jay Z’s and Taylor Swift’s records for the most chart-topping Billboard 200 albums by a soloist.
Drake’s first album since his iconic beef with Kendrick Lamar, which resulted in the hit single ‘Not Like Us’, which became the subject of a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, is ‘$ome $exy 4 U.

Drake accused the label to which he is signed of failing to prevent the release of a song containing harmful falsehoods about him.

He also claimed that UMG used bots and other unethical means to inflate the song’s Spotify streams, making it appear more popular than it is.

Drake is expected to have a busy year in 2025, as IFPI recently announced him as the highest-selling rapper of 2024.

The Canadian record-breaking artist is also the second best-selling artist in 2024, trailing only Taylor Swift, who topped the list for the third consecutive year and fifth time overall.
Drake is the highest-ranked rapper, ahead of Eminem at number eight and Kendrick Lamar at number nine, with whom he had a high-profile rap beef in 2024.

Drake has been in the top ten of the IFPI’s global artist rankings for the past ten years. It’ll also be his tenth time as the world’s best-selling rapper.
