Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris held a high-profile rally in Georgia, drawing thousands of supporters with the help of rock legend Bruce Springsteen, filmmaker Tyler Perry, and former President Barack Obama.

The rally, attended by around 20,000 people, is seen as crucial for Harris as she tries to secure votes in a key battleground state for the 2024 election.

With early voting underway, Harris and her endorsers emphasized the importance of turning out to vote early and rejecting her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Harris, who aims to unify voters against the divisiveness of recent years, urged the crowd to “turn the page” on Trump’s politics.

Obama, who has been actively campaigning for Harris, took direct aim at Trump, criticizing his self-centered behavior and contrasting Harris’ work ethic, referencing her experience working at McDonald’s during college.

Springsteen performed songs like “The Promised Land” and “Land of Hope and Dreams,” expressing concerns that Trump’s ambitions were tyrannical, claiming he does not understand the essence of being American.

The rally, Harris’ largest yet, builds on the Harris campaign’s strategy of leveraging celebrity endorsements to mobilize voters ahead of Election Day on November 5.

While Harris has led in national polls since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race in July, her advantage has narrowed, especially in swing states like Georgia and North Carolina.

Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, and Lizzo have endorsed her, adding cultural influence to her campaign, while Trump has gained backing from figures like Ted Nugent and Kid Rock.

Both candidates are in a final push to energize voters, with Harris scheduled to campaign alongside Michelle Obama and Beyoncé in the coming days. Georgia remains a contested state, with early voting already showing strong turnout.
