At least five students at Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, KSUSTA, have died from an unknown sickness, according to reports.
Some university students, who talked to Channels Television on the condition of anonymity, reported that four students died suspiciously last week, and another died on Sunday after feeling ill overnight. The school has yet to issue an official comment regarding the situation.
A source revealed that experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited the campus last week for an awareness campaign on the dangers of meningitis.
However, officials did not clarify whether meningitis was to blame for the deaths of the two students who died before their arrival.
